Our wine food pairing is a tasting that combines the creativity of our chef with local tradition and culinary memory on the Volcano, pairing the wines of the estate with recipes that respects seasonality, simplicity and gastronomic excellence of Etna.
VERTICAL TASTING OF OUR CRU IL MUSMECI D.O.C ETNA ROSSO RISERVA
A tasting that compares three vintages of our 100% Nerello Mascalese, obtained from a selection of our centenary bush vines. Dedicated to Mr. Ignazio Musmeci (previous owner of Fessina) who died recently. Ignazio wore the rough grace of his land, an elegance and kindness of the past: our most important red wine intends to pay homage to his innate elegance on which he has managed these vineyards without letting them go for almost a century. A love for the land, and the culture of this land, which constitutes our true great wealth of Tenuta di Fessina.

This tasting provides an overview in combination with food pairing of our Cru’s selection, wines made out of thre most iconic terroirs, from which only the oldest and qualitatively excellent vines are selected in order to produce the best varietal expressions of the estate, portraits in iconic Contrade and result of unique and exclusive winemaking .
The Cooking Class experience includes a private lesson with our Chef in the estate. During the journey some recipes of Etna and Sicily tradition will be cooked together, the guest will be an active part in the preparations and cooking, which will be based on products selected from our organic garden and by small local artisans. The recipes prepared with the support of our Chef will be subsequently served during a tasting lunch paired with our wines. As a gift we will give our guests the kitchen bib of the estate, the chef’s hat and the recipes cooked together.
