A'PUDDARA

OUR WINES

A’ PUDDARA is a cru from Carricante for an Etna DOC Bianco which is a fitting homage to Sicily. Dedicated to the stars that can be seen from the sea on the summit of the volcano in summer, the Pleiades, called in dialect “A’ Puddara”, the hen, is a rigorous and outlined wine like the top of the mountain that stands out in the night. By rediscovering the potential of a supporting character of the main Etna vines, Tenuta di Fessina proves capable of producing great whites where the territory and the hand of man, non-invasive but respectful of the land and the traditions from which it grows, allow full expression . A’Puddara ferments entirely in large barrels, as per the ancient Etna custom for the vinification of Carricante. Produced in the Manzuedda district of Biancavilla, on the southern side of Etna, 900 meters above sea level, it is an authentic mountain wine, capable of combining, in its paleness and aroma, its freshness and its hidden smoky vein, the eternal snows of the summit and the flames of the volcano. A splendid synthesis of the Mountain of Fire, which has allowed Tenuta di Fessina to collect the main awards from the world of Italian and international wine since the first vintage on the market, the 2009 harvest.
